Privacy policy
How we collect, use and protect your information.
Overview
Lakeshore Vertical ("we," "us") respects the privacy of everyone who uses our website and services. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect personal information only when you give it to us, for example through our contact form:
- Name, role and contact details
- Building address and equipment details
- Documents you choose to attach, such as a maintenance contract
- Anything else you include in your message
We may also collect basic technical data, such as pages visited and browser type, through website analytics. This data is used in aggregate.
How we use it
- To respond to your request and provide the services you ask for
- To send a renewal reminder or a document you asked for, such as our comparison sheet
- To send service-related messages, such as reviews, quotes and reports
- To improve our website and services
- To meet legal obligations
Renewal checker
The renewal checker runs in your browser; the dates you enter are not sent to us unless you ask for an email reminder. The calendar file it creates is generated on your device.
Documents you send us
Contracts and other documents you attach are used only to prepare your review. We keep them confidential, do not share them with any elevator contractor without your permission, and delete them on request.
We do not add you to marketing lists without your permission. Any commercial email we send identifies us, includes our mailing address and lets you opt out, consistent with the federal CAN-SPAM Act.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help run our website (such as Netlify for hosting and form processing), when required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Retention and security
We keep inquiry records for up to three years unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards consistent with New York's SHIELD Act, and will notify you of a breach affecting your information as the law requires.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email info@lakeshorevertical.com.
Children
Our services are for businesses and property professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new effective date.
